Holebrook

Her love of the sea, wind and knitwear gave Tina Karstorp an idea. At sea, the wind pushes against your sails and the sun burns your back – it’s the same every year regardless of the season. Anyone who has ever been to sea knows that no matter how warm it is, you should always have an extra sweater. An extra layer, a little more heat. However, the thickness of the fabric is not always the most important factor. The sea breeze is welcome but also unpredictable. It pushes the boat and keeps the people on board cool. And that’s where it all started. Tina and Peter Karstorp founded Holebrook in Sweden in 1999.

Holebrook Originals clothing is suitable for any weather. It helps you live life to the fullest and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Wearing our high quality clothing will make anyone feel beautiful, cared for and comfortable – on a warm summer evening, a crisp winter day or when on windy seas. All our clothes are made of environmentally friendly materials. They are produced by European suppliers who share our values and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

HOLEBROOK CLOTHING IS CHARACTERISED BY:

Sustainability
Our emphasis is on ensuring that all clothing produced by Holebrook has the smallest possible environmental footprint.

Sustainable materials
Regarding the durability and sustainability of the clothing, we pay attention to things like the timeless design, the cut of the clothes and the quality of the workmanship. The longevity and durability of clothing is determined by the quality of the materials used in production. Holebrook guarantees that all our suppliers of yarns, fabrics and accessories have the necessary environmental permits and high standards of quality and sustainability. Most of our suppliers have the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certificate, one of the world’s leading standards for the production of textiles from organically produced raw materials. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) covers strict environmental requirements that ensure the organic state of textiles and the production of socially responsible clothing from the start of the process to the end.
Another certification used by Holebrook is Woolmark, one of the world’s most renowned textile permits for wool. Woolmark ensures quality products, which means that the wool used does not contain any damaged fibres. This guarantees durable clothing. Holebrook clothing is mostly made of natural materials like wool, cotton, mohair and alpaca fibre. The clothing does not need to be washed often, which prolongs its durability and has a positive effect on the environment.

Slow fashion
Slow fashion is the opposite of fast fashion. In the case of Holebrook, this means not following trends, but creating clothes that are timeless, classic and durable. Holebrook’s collections have pieces that have been used for years. For example, some have been in use since 1999 and have become a popular choice beloved by customers.
